A child prodigy is in novice mode, they have the benefit of not knowing what's been explored, their takes are uniquely novel.
But LLMs can never have that advantage, they can instantly see everything that came before in their training.
But if you drive them into useful things via external structure (e.g. particle colliding) or taste, they can find novel combinations.
A prodigy is all upside: if they're bad, people say, well they're a kid.
If they're good, people say, "wow, a kid did that?"
A prodigy is about not realizing what the quality of the thing is, a childish naïveté.
Most breakthroughs are people didn't realize were generally thought to be impossible.
How can you make the LLM act like a child prodigy?
"Wow, an LLM did that?"
