    • That's why you get the tyranny of the marginal user.
    • As you grow your audience more and more features become distracting to more and more users.
    • Now every feature you add has to be massive from the beginning, it's not allowed to start small.
    • So you spend tons of time flailing to find a big thing, or launch some massive, poorly conceived thing and force users to use it.
    • Meanwhile you keep eroding interesting features out of the product to make everything smoother for larger audiences.
