AI is great for complicated problems, but not complex ones.

  • AI is great for complicated problems, but not complex ones.[gu]
    • Complicated problems can be broken down into sub problems, solved independently, and reassembled into the right answer.
      • This process can recurse indefinitely.
    • The main thing is just being patient enough, or having enough people, to solve the various sub-questions.
    • But complex things are interdependent and can't be sharded.
    • Complex problems can't be solved by simply giving more time, but complicated ones can.
