Chatbot is a feature, not a paradigm.
As an industry we're so distracted by Chatbots.
Chatbots are the most obvious use of LLMs, what you'd come up with after thinking for literally 30 seconds.
Their obviousness is like a bright light, blinding us to everything else.
Chats are flexible enough to get started with anything.
But they are the wrong UX for long lived tasks that need more structure.
We've missed that they can execute basic tasks on basic substrates very well.
LLMs create the possibility for coactive software.
