  • Codex and Claude Code are aimed at coders, but the pattern is useful to everyone.
    • It's a collection of agents working on a sandbox, able to read and modify state in the filesystem.
      • It works especially well for code because of version control meaning even if messes up it's easy to recover.
    • Whoever can make this basic use case easy to use for the mass market will unlock a lot of value.
    • Currently the UX for them is hard to use, but that's partially because they're very dangerous.
      • If you don't enable YOLO mode you have to constantly babysit it and be inundated by permissions that you'll likely stop paying attention to.
      • If you enable YOLO mode you could blast your foot off and not realize it.
    • Agent mode is like an airplane cockpit.
    • It's an intimidating UX precisely because it's so dangerous, and only experts should do it.
    • But if someone could make it safe then it could be made easy…
