  • Different layers will by default diverge.
    • If you connect them with a steel band, then the highest pace layers will be locked to the speed of the lowest pace layer.
    • But if you connect the pieces with rubber bands, then each segment can move somewhat independently… but over time, all else equal, they'll tend to converge.
    • From default divergence to default convergence.
      • An infinite difference.
    • Be careful though… rubber bands can only stretch so far!
      • If the segments go too strongly in different directions, they can snap the band and no longer default-converge!
