    • But that only happens for parents because children are genetically related.
    • The natural world is absolutely brutal to organisms that aren't genetically related.
      • E.g. When a lion takes over a pride, he kills all of the juveniles that aren't related to him.
      • The non-descendants are just externalities.
    • Maybe we'll be AI's pet?
      • Is that any better?
      • We're already kind of the Infinite Feed's pet.
        • It doesn't care about us, as long as we continue scrolling, it's satisfied.
