The "survival" goal of the meeting: have the other person enjoy it enough that they'd happily agree to another one in a few months.

The "thrive" goal is to float a trial balloon and if they engage positively, push it as far as you can go.

This allows you to get the upside if it resonantes and cap the downside if it doesn't–you can always try again.

Normally you only get one shot, and that means it's extremely high stakes to pitch the idea.
