  • I learned this week that AOL talked about cyberspace, not the web.
    • That was a deliberate marketing decision.
    • The web, if it became powerful, would supersede AOL.
    • So they wanted a generic term that didn't imply the whole open system part.
    • Chatbot feels like a similar kind of move to me.
    • LLMs will create a new valuable world-spanning open system, and it will not be a chatbot.
