  • I trust my browser and you trust your browser.
    • But I shouldn't trust your browser.
    • The extensions you install are implicitly trusted by you.
      • Assuming you did it knowingly and understand the implications, which obviously is not a good assumption in practice.
    • But I shouldn't trust the extensions you installed.
    • You implicitly trust the software you choose to install, but that doesn't mean you should implicitly trust the software other people chose to install.
      • The root of the trust is the (hopefully informed) decision.
