    • When there's a boundary between two teams, that boundary will be strengthened and accentuated, even if it started off meaningless.
      • The most iconic example of this is the famous summer camp experiment that assigned boys into two camps randomly and weeks later it escalated to warfare.
    • "We're all on one team!" is important to repeat often to counteract this.
