  • If you present yourself to others as having all the answers, you've trapped yourself.
    • You can't say "I don't know."
    • So you need to go to increasingly ridiculous, unproductive lengths to avoid saying "I don't know.".
      • Dysfunctional levels of detail.
      • Avoidance behaviors.
      • Passive aggressiveness.
      • A defensive crouch.[alg]
    • Even worse than needing to have the answers is needing to be the one who comes up with the answers.
      • An absolutely impossible bar to clear.
    • Being able to embrace that you don't have all of the answers is a strong stance that requires self-confidence.
      • Without self-confidence, you can't be strong enough to say it, to set yourself up to succeed and grow.
    • Acknowledging "I don't got this" takes a lot of self confidence and trust.
    • This is one of the reasons the two unteachable skills need an optimistic, forward momentum: to get that chicken or egg self-confidence and strength coevolving earlier.
