Software should be an extension of our agency.
But it's too expensive to create and so we bifurcated it.
It's created by others to serve others' purposes.
We've been alienated from our tools.
This misalignment has eroded us, because the software that others bother to create for us optimizes for what we want, not what we want to want.
If we fix that fundamental misalignment that is broken it can all be fixed.
