    • At any given point, if you increase the temperature, you'll lose a known good location to a possibly worse one.
    • That causes you to cling to the known quantity over the unknown one.
    • When you get to the top of the curve, you stay there until you die.
    • The only way to find a new maxima is to start a new thing.
