  • In the age of AI, what is the limiting factor, domain expertise or ability to adapt your workflow to new tools?
    • It seemed like the answer might have been ability to adapt to new tools.
      • After all, you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
    • But it turns out that agentic engineering is relatively easy to adopt, and inescapable enough that even people with decades of experience do it.
      • Also, it's inherently enjoyable, like riding an electric bike for the first time.
    • So that means that domain expertise is the limiting factor.
    • Tough spot to be in for this generation of junior developers.
