In the past I've enumerated three humanity-denying movements in the past around AI:

1) AI doomerism - the people who say AI is fundamentally an immoral technology and don't want anyone to use it, despite its obvious power and potential to help humanity.

2) E/Acc - which includes people who might call you a speciesist for optimizing for human flourishing over an AI's.

3) cynical engagement maximizers - the people who are happy to apply the social media engagement maximizing playbook to AI and make a quick buck.

Of the three humanity-denying movements, no one says they want to do the cynical engagement maxing.

In fact, many people doing it probably wouldn't even admit to themselves that that's what they're doing.

That last one is so easy to get sucked into despite your best intentions.
