  • It's kind of crazy that satellite imagery was made publicly available in the Clinton administration.
    • The default very easily could have been set to the opposite.
    • That was very bold, and assumed that democratizing technology is fundamentally a good idea.
    • A similar thing happened around genomics.
      • "You could engineer a virus for a specific person" ... or you could, you know, just shoot them.
