  • It's not a huge leap to trust that your browser isn't selling your secrets.
    • It's been constructed carefully so that structurally no person at the browser company can see it.
    • Compare that to a web app, which requires your data to be available on the server by default, and almost certainly is using your data in some way that's not fully aligned with your interests.
