I've found that I use LLMs for certain curiosity-style questions I wouldn't have even bothered searching for in the past.

Search relies on the SEO swarm of content farms to have guessed that someone will have that exact question and write up some poorly-researched schlock for it.

LLMs have a similar level of factual accuracy as random content-farm content, but they skip the step of "someone in the ecosystem had to stochastically guess that people might have this question".

LLMs can provide bespoke, just-in-time content-farm style content on demand... without the annoying ads.
