One model of AI unbundling apps is that now you'll have swarms of agents poke at and slurp from apps on your behalf.

You won't see the apps^[akq] much... they'll still be there, just kind of boring basements below the layer that you the user spends time in.

But that implies that you have agents who can see and intermix data across apps, and that you trust to not take incorrect actions on your behalf.

That's a high bar to meet if there's even a little bit of downside risk... and if they're flexible and open-ended there's always downside risk!
