Someone should write a manifesto that is optimistic about technology and also fundamentally human-centered.
- Someone should write a manifesto that is optimistic about technology and also fundamentally human-centered.[vd][ve]
- So many perspectives today are either for tech as it exists today (centralized, extractive) or against technology (pessimistic about innovation).
- These two things don't have to be at odds.
- It's possible to have a vision for computing that is all of:
- Optimistic about technology (including LLMs).
- Centered around humans not corporations.
- Cozy and human-scale.
- Collaborative and prosocial.
- Aligned with our collective aspirations.
- The manifesto would be about unleashing tech's potential to help humanity be at our best.
