  • Someone should write a manifesto that is optimistic about technology and also fundamentally human-centered.[vd][ve]
    • So many perspectives today are either for tech as it exists today (centralized, extractive) or against technology (pessimistic about innovation).
    • These two things don't have to be at odds.
    • It's possible to have a vision for computing that is all of:
      • Optimistic about technology (including LLMs).
      • Centered around humans not corporations.
      • Cozy and human-scale.
      • Collaborative and prosocial.
      • Aligned with our collective aspirations.
    • The manifesto would be about unleashing tech's potential to help humanity be at our best.
