Tech made promises of empowerment.

They didn't come through.

Why?

Because technologists never grappled with the second order impact, the humanistic dimensions, the emergent life force.

We never thought about the hard part about it.

And then as we fail to do so, and the non-tech people point it out, the tech people blame non-tech people for not getting it, for being luddites.
