The benefit of experimentation is that something can work even if you don't have a theory for why it should work.

After the fact, knowing that it does work, you can inspect it and figure out what made it work... and then lean into that.

So much of deciding to ship something is distilling and socializing a compelling theory of an idea to collaborators, a cost that scales super-linearly with org size.

It's much simpler if your system is constructed so you can skip that step!
