    • The researchers taught the kids a beach bowling game.
    • Then they asked some of the kids how to change the game so they won more.
      • They made the game easier.
    • For other kids they asked to make the game more fun.
      • They made the game harder.
    • Fun comes to some degree from leaning into the challenge.
    • Wanting to win is to some degree in tension with having fun.
