Here's one in the MCP ecosystem.

In the early days of the web, when pages were mostly static, there was a pizza ordering demo that allowed you to order a pizza from a webpage.

The demo was mostly smoke and mirrors: behind the scenes it was a cgi-bin script that sent a fax to a specific pizza place in Palo Alto.

But still, it got people's imaginations going and seeing the potential of what this new thing could accomplish.

The pizza demo helps set a beacon^[xx] of what is possible to inspire others in the ecosystem to make it real.
