This tracks to me: legacy code is code that works but that you didn't write and don't understand.

If you were to refactor or improve it it would take some time to "get in the loop" with it.

It works, but it's not pretty.

Vibe code by default has the same basic dynamic.

However, vibe code can be created that doesn't have this problem.

If you think carefully about guidance for it and specs, then you have influenced it, just at a different layer of abstraction, and do understand it at a high level in a way that didn't apply to raw vibe code.^[dj][dk][dl]
