    • The natural state of communities is fractal nesting.
    • The internet was a shock to the system, giving a barbell: very small cozy communities and massive, globe-spanning ones.
    • But now that we've wrestled with it for a decade everyone can see this barbell is not great and we should bring back meso-scale communities too.
