Why were kings allowed by the populace to rule?

  • Why were kings allowed by the populace to rule?
    • Because everyone acted like they are, because everyone thought everyone thought they were.
    • The divine right of kings didn't even need to be created, it could emerge all on its own.
    • It's an infinite alignment mechanism that pulls towards one consistent center that is stable.
      • If you have one central leader everyone has to act like is allowed to lead, it's easier if everyone believes they were chosen by god.
