    • They have enough experience with the various options and calibrated taste to be able to distinguish subtle differences and have informed preferences.
    • But the vast majority of people will think all of the options taste the same.
    • That means if your thing has a subtly better quality than the default option that can only be discerned by aficionados, you have a low ceiling; most people just won't invest enough time to care.
