If you can generate infinite answers you don't give a crap about any of them.
You never get deeply embedded in them, they're all easy to discard, so you never care.
This can be good–it allows you to explore nooks and crannies of the problem space you'd never bother to explore otherwise.
But it also disconnects you from the work.
That's why research goblins better as scouts.
They don't do the work, they help swarm to chart the path for the real work that will come later.
For the real work, you're in the loop, making decisions, and thus owning the result.
