  • If you can generate infinite answers you don't give a crap about any of them.
    • You never get deeply embedded in them, they're all easy to discard, so you never care.
    • This can be good–it allows you to explore nooks and crannies of the problem space you'd never bother to explore otherwise.
    • But it also disconnects you from the work.
    • That's why research goblins better as scouts.
    • They don't do the work, they help swarm to chart the path for the real work that will come later.
    • For the real work, you're in the loop, making decisions, and thus owning the result.
