If you set grand plans for a thing that will be great once you complete it, do step 1, and then get distracted and don't do the rest of the work you planned to do, you might end up in a worse situation than having never taken the first step.

Plans that are good ideas even if you don't do anything else are much better than plans that require executing multiple steps before it's a good idea.
