    • The infinite potential becomes finite.
    • You get control but the tradeoff is making it mortal, a discontinuous category change.
    • However, you can garden an open system without making it closed.
    • Gardening is about planting seeds, providing fertilizer and trellises, pruning back and weeding, but fundamentally giving the space to plants to grow.
    • You get the best of both worlds!
