LLM output is kind of like the tyranny of marginal information.

When you take in the entire corpus of humanity you get the middle of the distribution.

Will LLMs help people find new ideas / vibes?

Or do LLMs just drive to the average of everything?

The LLM is un-opinionated and bland.

But where you drive it is not.

LLMs are great concept colliders and help make sense of the random things you did.

LLMs can generate, but humans select what's useful out of it.

The human judgment of what to drive the LLM to do is what gives it meaning and value.
