    • Not about everyone having the same aspiration, but everyone being more aligned with their own aspirations: more aligned with the long term.
    • The modern world is focused on short-termism.
    • The era of thrash.
      • Single ply thinking as quickly as possible.
    • "We should consider the long-term effects more often" is not a particularly controversial statement.
    • And yet considering the long-term effects is extremely at odds with the incentives of modern society.
