    • This is the only approach to scale in a proprietary, top-down system.
    • Another approach is to have an ecosystem of lots of bottom-up emergent niches[xm], created by various actors within the ecosystem.
    • The ecosystem as a whole has broad appeal, but any given experience within it is hyper niche.
      • Way more niche than a top-down structure could have ever been worth it to design and build.
      • The hyper-optimized niche ensures it's a great offering for precisely the users in that niche.
      • The swarm of niches ensures broad coverage overall.
      • The best of both worlds.
