    • The sum total of the exploratory innovation in the open ecosystem will dominate the proprietary[xn] option at the beginning.
      • At the beginning of a disruptive stage, the needles in the haystack of new good ideas haven't been found yet.
      • In the later stage, once most of the new good ideas have been found, the power shifts to the entity that can best execute and improve the good ideas.
    • The entity in the role of AOL gets tricked into thinking they can dominate because they're the starter pistol, so they get an early lead.
    • Logarithmic return for exponential cost. Early benefit, but towards a low ceiling.
    • It's the warring curve again.
