    • When in reality the demand for the product is so great it's hard to have messed it up.
      • When Google Maps launched its massive UI revamp more than a decade ago, the main user success metrics barely budged.
      • People used Google Maps to accomplish tasks that they needed to do, so no matter what the UI was like, they'd power through.
      • Anything minimally competent would have had a similarly great outcome.
    • The skill of the PM only matters that much in middling ideas, not in fundamentally great ones.
