The tech industry is Goodhart's law-ing society.

Because it's not thinking through the implications of its actions.

It doesn't believe in the collective, only the individual.

The tech mindset assumes "if a thing is short-term good for me it's also on net long-term good for society".

But that's absolutely not the default case.

The individual and the collective can never have their interests perfectly aligned.
