    • A lot of platform building assumes "if we build it they'll come."
      • A push model.
    • But in practice it's often exactly the opposite.
    • A useful product happens on top of barely-sufficient infrastructure.
    • As the product grows, the infrastructure is forced to improve to keep up.
      • A pull model.
