  • All organizations are fundamentally dysfunctional.
    • They must be.
    • The principal agent problem is why.
    • The individual and the collective can never be fully aligned.
    • That lack of alignment between individual and collective is the negative space that Goodhart's law emerges out of, which is emergent dysfunction.
    • The only way to get asymptotically close is with "infinites" that everyone believes in.
    • But those have their own problems.
