Ideas have to make it out of your head to be good.

· Bits and Bobs 5/27/24

Sometimes people have an extremely deep and intricate and fully formed idea in their head... but communicating it is extremely hard.

Successful communication is the biggest constraint, and frustrating, and hard, and never perfect.

If you say "If everyone already understood what was in my brain, this would be easy.", it's effectively equivalent to "This would be easy if communication was perfect"

This is a smuggled infinity.

Communication is fundamentally imperfect and lossy and squishy and frustrating.

This is the curse of knowhow.
