People get to choose if they apply discretionary effort in a project.

They can't be compelled.

It's like volunteer labor.

So if they disagree with you, and you're the beneficiary of the volunteer labor, don't focus on if you're right or wrong, focus on how they feel.

Because if they feel that you're wrong or not listening to how they're right they will stop giving discretionary effort.
