Will LLMs help with interoperability?

In mechanistic systems, protocols must be extremely precisely defined, with formal rules.

This formalization has exponential cost with scope.

The larger the formalization process, the harder it is to coordinate to consensus, super-linearly.

This double super-linear blowup makes standardization and coordination extremely hard.

But LLMs are able to take whatever sloppy data you can give it.

That allows way easier interoperability than before, because you can keep the protocol more informal.
