Will LLMs help with interoperability?

  • Will LLMs help with interoperability?
    • In mechanistic systems, protocols must be extremely precisely defined, with formal rules.
    • This formalization has exponential cost with scope.
    • The larger the formalization process, the harder it is to coordinate to consensus, super-linearly.
    • This double super-linear blowup makes standardization and coordination extremely hard.
    • But LLMs are able to take whatever sloppy data you can give it.
    • That allows way easier interoperability than before, because you can keep the protocol more informal.
